Shoveling is one of the toughest jobs during winter season. Back and shoulder injuries are reported more than 70, 000 cases alone in 2008 due to the shoveling. Moreover, shoveling snow could increase the chances of getting heart attack, although the cases reported are rare. The other choice would be the snow blower, an expensive tool of removing snow that could reach thousands of dollars each. The snow blower made removing snow much easier, but they need frequent maintenance and fuel to operate. While these needs are significant to some people, most of the consumers do not have a big enough property to fully utilize the full power of snow blower.

Problem Statement

Objective

Our objectives for this project can be listed into 3 main objectives.

The first objective is to build a snow removal device that does not requires any machinery or engine to be operated. This is to ensure there will be no carbon gas emission.

The second objective is to build a prototype which will reduce the risk of injury to the users during snow removal process.

The third and final objective is to build the prototype with the cost of less than $400. This will allow the rapid manufacturing cost become less expensive so the final products are more cheaper and affordable.
